Look what the Eclipse brought in

Just want to post a quick note so those of you who stop by my blog will know why my posts may be few and far between for awhile. My Aries spouse got in a serious accident last Thursday and totaled his pickup. He emerged with “minor” injuries (cracked ribs, deep bruising, etc) for which I am deeply grateful. However, my days are now truly not my own. In addition to the usual seasonal chores, I am helping with irrigating our pastures and the garden.

Friday when the Moon in Aquarius was conjuncting Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune, I was taking him from one doctor appointment to another, talking to insurance agents and collecting what tools we could carry in my small pickup from his smushed pickup to bring home. This week will bring more of the same. We are both self-employed and that translates into no sick pay – if we’re not working, we’re not getting paid. Ironic, isn’t it, that when we could really use any income I could generate, I have no time or energy to spare for writing reports. This sure feels like transiting Pluto conjuncting my progressed Sun in my natal second house – cutting life back to the essentials.

I will do my best to post the occasional update but if you don’t hear much from this neck of the woods, that’s why.
Image: This was taken earlier this summer during a more peaceful time. I love the delicate lavender shade of these siberian type iris. BTW, to prefer to rest the eyes on beauty while dealing with chaos is very typical of this Libra/Scorp person.

Oh I'm so sorry, Neith. I'm glad the injuries are not too serious and I wish your husband gets healthy soon.

Oh yes, being independent has its costs. I hope you can get back to work soon enough, but for now other things take priority.
Sending you my best wishes.

oh wow, Neith. I hope the situation improves as quickly as possible but I'm sure glad it wasn't worse. thinking of you.

Yikes. Glad it wasn't more serious - best wishes for his healing, and for things getting back to some semblance of normalcy! Take care of yourselves.

Thank you, DM. We'll get through this OK. I'm keeping my short term goals extremely short term . . .

Hey Lara,

The pulled muscles & bruises are improving daily but cracked ribs take 6-8 wks to heal. All I can think is it could have been much, much worse . . .

We'll deal with the financial repercussions as they come as well as finding him a good used vehicle.

Thank you very much for your good wishes.

Thanks, leslee!

some semblance of normalcy!

This I like because that's an accurate statement about my life under the best of circumstances. Having Uranus transiting my fourth has given normalcy a whole new meaning around here.

Still can't figure out the astrology of his accident because the only close aspect was Neptune & Co conjunct his progressed North Node/MC. I usually associate Uranus with accidents and he has no planets or Angles close to 26 degrees natally. weird

It was not paying attention to driving and thinking about work related lists that landed him in the soup. A good lesson in why it is soooo important to do nothing but drive! :-D

Oh my, I'm glad he's still kicking. A relative had the cracked ribs recently (a large gun safe, not securely seated, fell over on him) and it took forever to heal. I hope his recovery is swift! :o)

Neith I'm so sorry!!! Sending him some healing vibes and you some love to get you through the work that needs to be done.
You seem very adept with scaling back to essentials, what with Pluto having transited your 2nd House already in this life.
Do you need me to send you some arnica? I think it's cheaper up here...just email and give me the word and I will do it!!

Yes, cracked ribs are no joke. He overdid yesterday (typical Aries) and found out the hard way muscle spasms are the result. Moving much more cautiously today. I figured we'd hit that place sooner or later.

Gun safe?! Oh my . . . :-)

back at cha, Jane!!

Too much! What I need to learn is how to generate serious income! That is a lesson I never quite got a handle on. Doesn't help to have my Jupiter in Scorp buried in the 12th house of service to others . . . :-)

Do you need me to send you some arnica? I think it's cheaper up here...just email and give me the word and I will do it!!

I just may do that because I was considering ordering the high dosage 200C ($22US for 1 oz bottle + SH = $27)- and it's pretty spendy here. You & B both have had plenty of experience dealing with seriously bad physical aches & pains too.

yeah, yikes is a good word for it all.

neith i just checked locally: $7.99 for 80 X 200c tablets. 5 pills in a dose...40 doses. I don't know if you can mail them across the border though.
Let me know if I can send them and I will be happy to do it...just consider it a gift from me to you and your hubby!
PS. my email is on my blogger profile page

True, true. Aries make LOUSY patients too. :-)

Guess it was my turn again. There are many of us who post here who have, or are, dealt with/dealing with some type of significant crisis.

Steve Judd has been posting about Saturn moving thru the last decant of Virgo. And he noted Mars now in Gemini for about 5 wks is going to stir the mutable pot too [by squaring both Saturn & Uranus . . .] Here's a link: Steve Judd Blog

Looks like Mars comes in to square my Sun in August just as Saturn is moving off - yay! Mars has been squaring my natal Mercury and Venus/Pluto while Saturn is within a degree of final transit over my Sun. I have been *cranky*! With Mars just moved off, it's already easing up.

Very nice Steve Judd post.

Hey Neith,

That's too bad to hear he was so unwell and it brought the two of you so many worries. I hope his health will soon improve!

Actually I just popped by to say that I really enjoyed your article on the eclipse on realastrolgers.com.

Best wishes for the both of you!

Warm regards

Thanks, Punarvasu!

I see improvements with my Aries but it's slow going. Very, very hot here this week.

Funny thing about writing the lunation posts is what pops out at me when I'm writing them. It is a far more creative process than I would have imagined.

Going in tomorrow to get my hair cut. Have about 4" cut off . . . maybe lighten me up some. The past nine months have been pretty intense. Venus trine my Moon when I made appt. :-D

Thanks for taking the time to post a comment on my blog. I slaved over that one, I can tell you! I know how awful cracked ribs can be - restricted breathing, every movement hurts, etc. (No, I've never done it, but I've had rib displacements.)

I hope he's healing well, and you're on your way back to "normal".

In my experience there are different kinds of accidents. The Neptune kind involves fogginess rather than chaotic energy (as with Uranus). For instance, being blind-sided would be Neptunian.

Oh no! I've been missing for a while and I didn't see that this happened to your husband. So glad he wasn't hurt any worse and is doing better now!

Can you believe my Aries younger brother ALSO totaled his car, about a week and a half ago?? He walked away unscratched.

Sending lots of get-well vibes and good luck for finding new transport.

Wow! Wonder if these are related to the two eclipses in Cancer. I'm gaining more respect for the power of eclipses. But there are some things one hates to learn the hard way . . .

We're looking for a new-used truck now and from what we're seeing, it's going to take some time.

Thank heavens your brother came through with no injuries, other than a wake-up call to pay attention when driving!!
