Out of Sync and Sorts

Going through one of those phases when I feel very much out of sync with others except for my immediate family, so I decided to take a look at the transits to see what was going on.

For starters, whenever the Moon is in Sagittarius, it is in my first house and conjoining my Venus and South Node in Sagittarius. Plus the Sun is currently in my seventh house and just finished hitting my North Node in Gemini and Saturn in Virgo is sitting in my tenth square to both. Yesterday my Gemini step-daughter and Gemini rising granddaughter went with us up into the hills looking for ‘shrooms. How reflective of the Sky is that, besides being a lot of fun.

Mercury in Taurus is exactly conjunct my Descendant today and that means it opposes my Ascendant, forming the base of a t-square with Neptune-Chiron and Jupiter currently in my third house. Put that together with Mercury ruled Gemini (Sun) as well as Virgo (Saturn), and no wonder my brain keeps short-circuiting! I do a little bit here, go outside and do a little bit there, come back in and prepare meals, sit down at the computer, pick up a book by Sherri Tepper I’m re-reading and so on. I really truly hope once Mercury makes its final square to Neptune & Co on Wednesday and returns to the degree it went retrograde on June 16, my normal ability to concentrate will return.

Off Topic: I want to thank Casey for the various wrist exercises she found. I’ve been doing a selection of them and they seem to be helping. Despite those who have urged me to have the surgery done, I consider that a last resort measure for a number of reasons. One of which is financial. All one has to do is step into the medical system and money vanishes like magic and we only have a $1,500 deductible major medical policy. The parties who have recommended surgery were all government employees (teachers, postal workers, etc) with excellent health insurance and not a CLUE about what it means to live in the world of the self-employed. Yes, I support a single-payer health care system in this country. Don’t get me started on living in a country where a murderer on death row has access to better health care for free than I and many others do.

Since I seem to be wandering all over the place, I’m wondering if anyone else is dealing with this lack of focus.

BTW, go here to read my thoughts on the Full Moon in Sagittarius.

Image: We are finally getting the occasional thundershower moving through making much more interesting sunsets to enjoy.

Totally describes the way I have been feeling lately. I think the Moon in Sag is highlighting my 7th and relationships (and lack thereof) with others. Something Pat said in her Saturday Extra is hitting home for me particularly hard. Looks like the Moon is opposing my natal Saturn as well.

As for the rest of it, well, the temps haven't climbed above 50 F all weekend and it's been cold and gloomy. I've watched more TV this weekend than I have all year, seriously. Bleah...

Hey Joe, since our charts are essentially flipped, we're both dealing with a mish-mash of 1st-7th stuff. Fun . . .

I've had these moments over the past year or so when others are all excited about something and I'm going WTF?! It has to do with relevancy to my life, as in lack of. There may be a tie in to the ongoing conjunction of tPluto to my progressed Sun in Capricorn for the past year [this transit will continue on & off for several more years]. It seems like I'm doing an intense course on core values, like it or not. Pluto is not particularly noted for giving us a lot of choices . . . :-D

As I understand it, the exercises stretch and open up that little carpal tunnel place at the base of the wrist. Very poor engineering causing the nerves of the hand to all go through a narrow space...as I said, my doctor is a BIG believer in stretching and exercise.

Good to know it's helping you, dear neith. so frustrating when we can't use our hands. I've had two major bouts of repetitive stress/tendonitis and the pain is not fun.

I've just finishing written a couple of pages without interruption so I can't complain about lack of focus at the moment! Well, Gemini is in my 3rd house so it figures.

I still insist on using mine, just have to wear the braces and vary activities. If the pain and swelling get really bad I ice them. Totally agree about the design flaw too!! :-)

The one activity that really bothered my wrists was crocheting. I made some little finger puppets for the GD and even with braces, the twisting motion was baaaaad.

Does not surprise me to hear you have dealt with an RSI as much time as you spend/have spent working at a computer.

Way to go!!! Once Mercury hits Gemini you will either go, go, go . . . or find lots of distractions creeping in. HA! ::::ducking:::::

Very sorry to hear about your wrists. I am for single-payer Health Care too. I have been blah, but I am sure it is only the news, and it will pass.
I had carpel tunnel once, shortly after the birth of my daughter, makes no sense, but Dr. said it was common. It went away in a few weeks, thank goodness, and do not know why? And I had tendonitis in my elbow, for months, I could not pick up a pan?, nothing. I changed jobs and that elbow was able to relax, and my elbow became normal again. I really hope your wrists will heal too, on its own and normally. I do not believe in surgery, either, unless as a last resort. Exercise sounds great and your own great healing mind, should make everything heal.
Love your writing and wishing you well.

Thanks, Anon, for sharing your experiences. You give me hope there is light at the end of the tunnel. The exercises are helping quite a bit too.

There is no doubt in my mind stress has contributed greatly to the problems I've been experiencing and to many, many others health issues as well. Sometimes I just want to stick my fingers in my ears, cover my eyes and go "La, La, La"!! [take a page from Pisces's notebook on how to deal with stress] :-D

Thanks, Posh. I know finding out others are dealing with similar issues always eases my mind. Which helps . . . :-)

It has been a rather strange period, hasn't it. I have had moments of great clarity followed by the fog rolling back in.

Moon in Aquarius will conjunct Neptune & Co tomorrow AM. We'll see how that goes!

Hey! This post was here. Then it wasn't. Now it's back! :-)

Is that like your clarity - fog - clarity - fog ... ?

Rolling in, rolling out... :-)

Big hug, my friend xoxoxo

hee...my computer certainly has been out of sync -- all kinds of strange little programs. Including in my Sims game.

Well, it's the beginning of hurricane season and the local stations are feeling all nostalgic about Ike. I watched one the other night (I must be feeling nostalgic too) and ended up boo-hooing over the stories. And the pride I always feel as a Houstonian/Texan. Other people always wonder why we live here -- I've even heard Floridians say that the climate is hotter and muggier than their home in Florida.

However, Ike's aftermath is one reason. Cuz I think we came through that with a lot of grace and generosity. However, they now have special water that will have a shelf life of 5 years -- who knew that water has an expiration date. Gotta get me some of that. And a trip to REI for some dehydrated dinners. Cuz beans, crackers, fruit cocktail, and Ensure sure do get old...

just in case. Global warming, you now.

Gonna make my mother leave her home too. If my brother doesn't have her come over to his house, I'm gonna kick his self-absorbed lil' butt.

Oooh, and lookie there. They have cool little battery-powered tvs.

If it hadn't been for my battery-powered satellite radio that played our local tv stations all day for days, we would have been totally out-of-touch.

Though I know a lot of people who sat in their cars running the air conditioning and charging their cell phones.

ah. Good times.

I love your commentary on living in the great state of Texas. It truly is another world all its own.

Hurricanes are one thing but tornadoes?! Those really scare me. I can't image living in tornado alley with the possibility one's home could be reduced to toothpicks in a matter of minutes. I like living with the boring weather we have in the pacific northwest . . . :-D

This wasn't fun at all for me. Friday was kind of an emotional day for me, in spite of the Moon in Aquarius. Weird.

one of the best ways to minimize the advancement of wrist issues is to sleep with wrist support, to prevent sleeping with wrists in contortions .

I did do this for about the first week following the initial flareup. Then discovered my wrist felt much better in the morning when not wearing the brace. Odd.
