Saturn is transiting exactly square to my natal Venus and as you all know, the new website project has been launched. Saturn is reminding me to color between the lines and pull my scattered energies together. Right now I have three different blogs I need to be writing for, this one, my synastry blog and the new website! This has great crazy making potential and I have always been more inclined keep my designs clean rather than too busy. So I’m thinking of transferring all the posts from my synastry blog to the website and posted all new articles on synastry there. Neith.net will stay but with less frequent posts and many of those will be cross posted. Eventually I suspect I will be blogging solely on Real Astrologers.com because that makes more sense . . . and slowing transferring all the posts there too. Of course, I can catalog and categorize them better on the website (sounds like Saturn in Virgo to me!!)Transits to my natal Venus are particularly important because as Libra and Taurus’s ruler, she influences my Sun, Moon, Neptune and Descendant. The current transit from Saturn is going to be in effect for awhile too because Saturn will be going direct here May 4th and will stay within a degree of exact orb until June 11th. Saturn transits generally don’t give a body much wiggle room either. I certainly don’t find this transit depressing just sobering with an awareness I need to keep slogging along with only the occasional respite. With a natal Venus/Saturn trine this is not unfamiliar territory. It’s been my experience creative energy is not stifled and limited by setting boundaries but freed.
For now I would love it if everyone who reads my blogs stops over and registers to comment on Real Astrologers.com because as an 11th house Moon person, I see all of you as my peer group and community of kindred spirits. I see our new website as my “child” because it was born with the New Moon in Aries in my 5th house opposing my natal Moon in the 11th and of course I want to nurture my new child! We’re still in transition and will be for awhile and I look forward to seeing your comments on Real Astrologers.

It's all part of the progress, moving on, somethings are born, others eventually cease to be. yadda yadda
That's exactly what I called my astrology blog when I launched it, my baby.
I will try to register there now.
Ah, I forgot that your Venus is exactly square mine. Saturn retrograded directly on my Venus today, quietly. (First time, last Sept., my mom died.) Lots of internal stuff going on mainly here. Some grounding. I figure where things are *good* when Saturn is visiting, those things are longstanding good! As you say, he's in for an extended visit, so I'm sure I'll get some reinforcement of the Virgo sorting out of wheat and chaff.

That's it exactly, DM.... Even though my NN is in Gemini (likes to zip around to different ideas, etc)my preference is to stay tightly focused (Mars/Merc in Scorp) and I've learned slowly -very slowly - to attempt to keep from getting too scattered.
Love your astrology blog too . . . :-)

{{{leslee}}} As I lost my mom in March of last year, I know the empty space their going leaves . . . for me it was Uranus exactly inconjunct my Moon by transit.

Great approach! hmmmmm, wondering if having Saturn trine your Moon natally helps Saturn transits. My Moon is sextile Saturn natally and Saturn transits are something I find easily to understand and work with. :-)

Hey, that's all a year or so down the road, no need to panic just yet!! LOL!
Congratulations on the new web-site! But PLEASE don't discontinue Neith.net. I love the pictures you include, and even if I don't understand what you're talking about most of the time when you get technical I still check the site every day.

Well, besides Saturn exactly on my Venus/Pluto, Uranus was transiting 2 degrees back from being both exactly inconjunct my Moon and opposing my Sun from the 8th house. (Not to mention the solar eclipse on my solar return IC just 10 days prior...) It was virtually shouting "big event!"
Yah, I know Mr. Saturn (is also square my Sun), and getting to know him better as he's made his way over my Ascendant/Moon and going through all my Virgo planets! I understand that Saturn is (or can be) more rewarding as you get older. You choose your own structures then, rather than fighting the ones imposed on you, and learn the value of patience, discipline, form, etc. - learn how to work with it.

Imagine having him in your first house. :o/

No worries, lynda! As Pat said about continuing to post on PChron, I need a forum for posting on my more personal "stuff". BTW, I'm very pleased to hear you are enjoying my photos . . . they are a reflection of my philosophy of finding enjoyment in the small things every day. Someone else whose blog is graced with lovely photos in the same vein is leslee's 3rd house journal

Thanks for the astro-data. I'm going to have to pay more attention to inconjuncts in general when considering the effects of transits. It is a particularly irritating aspect in a rather insidious manner.

Brilliant!! And very true in my experience. . . it's no wonder the first Saturn Return is often seen as traumatic, especially by those whose natal Saturn only lightly affects their personal planets. Everyone eventually benefits from Saturn natally, in synastry and by transit . . . he's a good one! :-)

lol! Joe, your sense of humor is very reflective of this . . . love it!
I try. :o) I'm not very happy with Saturn these days, but with him as a prominent and permanent resident, I have to find *some* humor in it.
At least the Gemini leavens the heaviness!

that's why you are a lovely, sane person . . . :-D
Steve Judd wrote a bit on Venus/Saturn today I found very appropriate and very much my experience of natal Venus/Saturn trine:
Venus/Saturn contacts are often misunderstood, being thought of as inhibiting or restricting both financial and romantic opportunities. This seems to be the case in the first half of life (sorry!), but brings more than adequate payback in the second. Most Saturn/Venus people spend the second half of their lives in one long term permanent and contented relationship, the first forty years is finding out what they don’t want. And their financial status generally improves as they age, because despite fiscal challenges when younger, as they mature so a re-evaluation occurs which leads to a more structured approach to money. They get clearer and clearer in issues of worth and value as they age.
Despite Rob Hand's sometimes dour view of the world, I also like what he has to say about Saturn:
Most people experience Saturn transits as though Saturn were an external force that was utterly out of control. Frequently a Saturn transit seems like the product of fate, usually an unpleasant fate. But you must understand that Saturn represents the way you program your universe at the deepest, most fundamental level. Consequently, the energy of a Saturn transit Is never truly external. …
No matter how unpleasant a Saturn transit seems at the time, it represents what you really want in life and is helping you get it. Most people are out of touch with what they truly want. If you thoroughly understand your needs and wants, you will find that Saturn simply brings about their manifestation. The 'losses" that Saturn brings are of things that you do not want or need. No matter how much you think you want them, let them go, especially relationships that Saturn may end.
"It’s been my experience creative energy is not stifled and limited by setting boundaries but freed."
Mine too. Absolutely.
My own Saturn/Venus square is approaching in the not too distant future and will be exact later this year. I suspect I'll return to to read this around that time! Right now I'm buckling down under the transiting Saturn/Sun/Chiron square. Not as bad as I had feared, so far anyway ... a lot of work, that's for sure, but enjoyable and satisfying work amongst congenial people.
God luck with it all, Neith.
Pat, thanks a million for posting that. That's precisely what I needed to read right now. Touché. :)

This is a very important point. Saturn is very good at reminding us of what is valuable and what's dross, often in no uncertain terms.
[Rod Hand is a great astrologer but i too find him dour.]

Doesn't it seem like both Saturn and Chiron become easier to deal with once we're past our Chiron returns [& Saturn Returns for that matter]?

Yes, definitely. It helps too I think that I am working for an organisation with a definite Chironic feel to it, i.e. it operates in the field of holistic health.
